If you are a restaurant owner or food distributor and often deal with the predicament of what to do with extra food or food products, consider donating all your “extras” to the South Texas Food Bank. These food items and products will be donated either to our clients or community organizations agencies that serve hungry people.
Donating surplus food inventory to the Food Bank can be safe, efficient, and cost-effective. It reduces warehouse storage and disposal costs. You may donate either prepared food items or dry goods. You can call us for special free of charge pick-up. For prepared food items, we would recommend at least a one hour advance notice for pick-up information.
Warehouse hours are from Monday thru Friday 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. and 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.
Note that any prepared food items donated to the food bank must be in good condition and must meet all health and food handling safety standards. Please call the Food Bank for more information.
