Alma Boubel
Chief Executive Officer
A Laredo native, Ms. Alma Boubel graduated from Nixon High School. She holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas in Austin and an MBA in Business Administration from Texas A&M International University.
Ms. Boubel has served as CEO of The South Texas Food Bank since 2015. In that time, she has propelled the organization into a new era of growth. Her focus is to increase awareness about the realities of hunger in south Texas; find ways to make customer service at the food bank more efficient; and, to find, and secure more resources that will allow the food bank to service even more people who are struggling with food insecurity in our south Texas communities.
Under her leadership, the food bank was able to relocate to a larger, more modern and efficient facility to meet the increased food demand and serve more neighbors in need.
Ms. Boubel feels blessed for the opportunity to be able to do something good and positive for those struggling with hunger in the Laredo community and surrounding areas.
