Tour the food bank!​

We're so happy you're interested in touring the South Texas Food Bank!

We rely on community members like you to spread the word about our mission, services, and impact on the community.​ Learn how food moves through our facility to reach the thousands of families we serve across our South Texas service area on a monthly basis.

Our walking tour consists of a one-hour (average), informative, behind-the-scenes tour as we take you through our offices, kitchen, warehouse, and volunteer center. Meet some of the hard-working staff and volunteers that make our efforts possible!

Tours are available Monday - Friday (except for holidays) starting from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. to anyone 18 and older or ages 12 to 17 with a chaperone. No exceptions. 

Please call our Volunteer Coordinator at (956) 726-3120 Ext. 102 if you are planning on a tour or field trip that involves students under 12 or more than 25 participants.

FOR SAFETY AND LIABILITY REASONS:

• All participants are required to wear closed-toe, low-heel shoes and shirts with sleeves.

• No outside food or beverages are permitted.

• We require at least one adult per ten children.

• Please let our Volunteer Coordinator know if special accommodations are needed.

• Large unscheduled tours may be turned down if staff and schedule does not allow last minute accommodations.​

• All tour attendees will be required to fill out a waiver form on-site. There are no exceptions.

Tours for children and en español are available upon request.
